Description: Downer House hotel built about 1850. Front side right next to railroad tracks. Later owned by Wallace, Robensen, Patterson, and then Joseph B. and Emma Call Lawrence. There was card playing and dancing in the dance hall (run by Lawrence's daughter, Ellie). There was a barbershop in the basement. (Info courtesy Ruth Russell Daugherty)
